TORRE AGBAR

The Torre Agbar is a high-rise building located in Barcelona, Spain. This multicoloured, grand building signifies the start of the new technological age of Spain. Torre Agbar was designed by Jean Nouvel, who is a French architect born in 1945. Torre Agbar was completed in 2005 and was formally opened by His Highness King Juan Carlos I n September 16, 2005. The building reaches 538,000 square feet with almost 30,000 offices, 3,000 technical facilities, an auditorium and over 9,000 square metres for parking.

SAGRADA FAMILIA

The Basilica I Temple Expiatori De La Sagrada Familia (Basilica and expiatory church of the holy family) is a massive Roman Catholic church that was designed by Antonio Gaudi, worldwide famous architect. The Sagrada Familia is one of UNESCO’s many world heritage sites, and it was also sanctified by Pope Benedict XVI whom declared it a minor Basilica. The reason why Cranes are present behind the basilica is because the Sagrada Familia Is still not complete. Gaudi had dedicated the last years of his life to the construction of the Sagrada Familia, however he had unfortunately passed away in a tram accident, where he was then taken to the hospital of the holy cross and passed away after three days.

CASA MILA

Casa Mila, widely known as La pedrera, is a building in Barcelona, Spain that was designed by Gaudi. La Pedrera was the last civil work Antonio Gaudi had worked on before dedicating the rest of his years working on the Sagrada Familia. UNESCO had declared la Pedrera as a World heritage site in 1984; it is now handled by fundacio Catalunya La Pedrera. Within the building, it is a set of winding corridors and staircases, but the courtyard that is located on the roof is the favourite part for many tourists. The abnormal “8” shaped courtyard due to the different shapes and sizes in the courtyard. The courtyard also holds the worldwide famous “soldier helmets” chimneys.

PALMA CATHEDRAL

The Palma Cathedral, more commonly known as La Seu, is a Gothic Roman Catholic Cathedral located in Palma Majorca, Spain. La seu is 121 metres long, 55 metres wide, and the nave (central part of the church), is 44 metres tall. This cathedral was designed in the Catalonian Gothic style; however it has some northern Europe influences.
